Irene Lalruatdiki has a Post Graduate degree in Ecology, Environment and Sustainable Development from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati campus. 

She started her career as a Programme Associate in CASA, Dehradun and has an experience in the social sector. She participated in various workshops and conference related to Gender, Peace, Environment and Sustainable Development in Northeast India and Bangkok.
