Social Network Model

1. Background:
Under the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC)-funded Project Sunrise, FHI 360 aims to enhance institutional and human capacity to accelerate HIV/AIDS response and scale-up and strengthen the quality of the comprehensive package of services primarily for People Who Inject Drugs (PWID), Female Injecting Drug Users (FIDU) and partners in the eight North East states. FHI 360 has recently been awarded the Notice of Award by CDC for the period of performance from September 30, 2019 to September 29, 2020. Based on discussion with CDC, priorities for the extension period are 100 percent index testing; and 95 percent navigation of key population lining with HIV (KP PLHIV) to early initiation of anti- retroviral therapy (ART) and viral load testing.
In the period Nov 1, 2019 - July 31, 2020, Mission Foundation Movement (MFM) will play a key role in reaching unreached PWID and MSM in Mamit and Kolasib and link them to HIV related services through index testing and Social Network Model (SNM), Provide comprehensive service packages for FIDU/FSW, Support for Drug Demand Reduction through OST/TI service providers. The activities are in line with the priorities of PEPFAR/CDC for Year 5.
OBJECTIVES:
Objective 1: Reach unreached PWID and MSM and link them to HIV related services
through index testing and Social Network Model (SNM)
Objective 2: Provide comprehensive service packages for FIDU/FSW
Objective 3: Support for Drug Demand Reduction through OST/TI service providers
