HON’BLE HEALTH AND FAMILY WERLFARE MINISTER GRACED MFM SCHOOL OF NURSING CAPPING & LAMP LIGHTING CEREMONY

Health & Family Welfare Minister, Dr. R Lalthangliana graced the Capping and Lamp Lighting Ceremony of MFM School of Nursing (ANM) as Chief Guest in this auspicious occasion as the ceremony initiates the students into noble profession of Nursing.
The Capping and Lamp Lighting ceremony was held on 31st Jan, 2020 at Art & Culture Auditorium, Bawngkawn, where 20 novice Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery received the lamp from Ms. Zochhuanpuii, Registrar, Mizoram Nursing Council. Welcome Speech was delivered by Ms. Christina Zothanpari, Principal MFM School of Nursing, while the essence of the day was briefed by Ms. Lalruafeli.
Chief Guest Dr.R.Lalthangliana in his speech includes how he admires the dedication shown by Mission Foundation Movement (MFM) in executing their work. He added that Nursing is a noble profession, especially for Christians as it allows continuing the work of Jesus Christ. He quoted, “Nursing Cap is very crucial in Nurse’s life as it symbolize Unity and Lamp denotes caring, self sacrifice, heal others , act of lightand devotion”. He encouraged the students to work outside the state and overseas upon completing their course further pointing out that selflessness and caring for the downtrodden that is embedded in Mizo’s nature made Nursing profession extremely suitable for us. Due to this in-born nature Mizo Nurse are preferred to work in this profession everywhere around the world. He ended his speech by encouraging the students to work hard with full dedication and success for future endeavour.
