News | August 12, 2023
Mission Foundation movement in collaboration with Nations UK distributed food supplies to Myanmar Refugees at Durtlang Leitan Refugee Camp. Currently there are 48 people at the camp with 18 children and 2 people above the age of 60. The refugees are living in a small house donated by Mr Vanlalmawia of Saron Veng, Aizawl. MFM relief team were accompanied by members of the local Leitan Young Mizo Association (YMA).
The refugees are short on food supplies and other amenities. There are two babies (2 and 6 months old) who were sick at the time of the visit according to the camp leader. The camp had recieved water tanks from another NGO which ease their water supply. Regular work is still hard to find for them but local YMA and Churches provides them work from time to time. Mrs. B. Lalremtluangi had a prayer for them and the programme concluded. Our visit was reported on local newspapers and TV channels.
